A Breakdown of the Visual Effects in ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’

Whether or not you enjoyed the villain-crammed comic book action that unfolded in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 when it hit theaters a couple weeks ago, it's hard to deny that there are some pretty damn impressive visual effects in the film. Now a new featurette from ImageWorks breaks down how some of those effects were put together. This particualr featurette puts an emphasis on the movement of Spidey, as he swings through the city or fights one of the three villains in the film. It looks at the software that takes real physics into account and also tiny details like muscle flexing in the computer generated characters. (more…)
