Throwback Thursday -7 Animated Movies Which Will Make You Go Head Over Heels In Love with Them

Get ready to snuggle up in love with these beautifully romantic animated movies. They are the perfect remedy to make your day go awesome. Animated movies are not just ‘Children’s movies’ they are more than that. They are for the ‘Kidults’. By Kidults, we mean, it is for all the Adults who have a soul of Kid and of course, for all the little kids.

In the world of animated movies, the genre of romance and action movies is never enough. What makes these movies brilliant is that there are plenty of quotes, songs and dialogues which would inspire you and make you fall in love with them.

They provide the opportunity to enter a world where dreams come true and happily ever afters happen every day. So, just in case you’re in need of some warm fuzzies, here’s a list of some of our favorite animated movies (in no particular order):

  1. Tangled

Best Quote: “All at once everything is different, now that I see you.” — Flynn Rider and Rapunzel (“I See The Light”)

Tangled has romance, energy and humor in spades. The modern version of Rapunzel needs no rescuing, gone are the days of a handsome prince, replaced with an egotistical and dashing bandit, Flynn Ryder. Rapunzel detains him and generally bamboozles with her hair, setting us up for an opposites-attract love story that clicks just perfectly.

  1. Cinderella

Best Quote: “So this is love, so this is what makes life divine.” — Cinderella (“So This Is Love”)

Cinderella finding her Prince Charming…but we actually think it’s more about a woman getting rescued from an unhappy life.  But it is a beautiful princess falling instantly in love with her Prince and getting married at the end.  This movie is truly a classic just like the quote above.

  1. Up

Best Quote: “I have just met you and I love you.” – Dug, UP

Pixar’s Up is a fantastically buoyant film which offers laughter, sorrow and swooning beauty. Written and directed by the team of Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc.) and Bob Peterson, Up actually begins in the 1930s. A wordless montage depicting the relationship between Carl and Ellie Fredricksen lasts barely five minutes but depicts love. The relation with Russell and Dug is just beautiful to watch. The love between them is incredible.

  1. Frozen

Best Quotes: “Love is an open door … with you!” — Hans and Anna (“Love Is An Open Door”)

“Love is putting someone else’s needs before yours.” – Olaf, Frozen

We quoted twice as this movie is filled with amazing quotes and choosing from them is difficult task. ‘Frozen is another fine addition to the Disney animated feature pantheon, offering a witty and heartfelt princess fairy tale with creative musical elements and some visual panache,” reads the review of Frozen and we couldn’t agree less to it. This movie is what the new generation needs. A must watch on the list as this will definitely melt your hearts.

  1. Pocahontas

Best Quote: “I’d rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you.” — John Smith

An English soldier and the daughter of an Algonquin chief, Pocahontas, share a romance when English colonists invade seventeenth-century Virginia. Pocahontas relies on the guidance of her loving and wise grandma Willow. This is a love story that transcends race. Love knows no skin color.

  1. Wall-E

Best Quote: “Computer, define dancing.”

A love story between two robots, Wall-e simply loves Eva. It’s as simple as that.  He will do anything for her and it is sweet and innocent and completely lovely.  As Hello Dolly tells us in the movie “it only took a moment to be loved a whole life long”.

  1. Lady and the Tramp

Best Quote: “Side by side with your loved one, you’ll find enchantment here. The night will weave its magic spell, when the one you love is near.”— (“Bella Notte”)

The romantic tale of a sheltered uptown Cocker Spaniel dog and a streetwise downtown Mutt. Sometimes love comes without you expecting it! This movie probably includes the most iconic Disney romantic moment and the scene that made spaghetti synonymous with a hot date.  It is such a sweet and gentle movie that will make even the most grumpy person smile.
