The teasers of two most awaited movies – Thugs of Hindostan and Manikarnika released during the last ten days, makes the fans go crazy.

The three-time national award winner actress Kangana Ranaut plays the role of Rani Laxmibai in this Krish Jagarlamudi directed movie. Through the teaser video, Kangana looks stunning as Jhansi Ki Rani and gladly she fits perfectly into the bill.

Meanwhile, the teaser also will largely give the feel of Deja Vu because of the treatment of visuals as the grand set resembles that of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani.

The movie is perhaps, all set to mark Bollywood’s foray into the pirate world (the visuals reminded me of Pirates of Caribbean and Khan being our Indian Jack Sparrow) filled with jaw-dropping action enhanced by advanced VFX techniques in India. Interestingly, YRF has launched its own VFX division and are determined to ensure that this movie is on par with any Hollywood movies.

While the ‘Thugs’ teaser was launched to mark the 86th Birth anniversary of late Yash Chopra, the Manikarnika teaser was dropped on Gandhi Jayanti (October 2).

Earlier Kangana Ranaut’s film release date got postponed because of the heavy VFX in the period drama has resulted in the film getting delayed further.

Twitterati feels Kangana Ranaut movie’s VFX is better than that of Thugs of Hindostan trailer.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s latest offering 2.0, sequel to 2010 release Robot, is making headlines even before it has hit the theatres. One reason for this is the visual effects the film is laden with. Director Shankar Shanmugham has also claimed that the film will be India’s first USD 75 million VFX wonder. 2.0 is scheduled to release on November 29 in 12 languages besides Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

Thugs of Hindostan is set to be released during the week of the Diwali festival, on November 8. While the queen is coming to conquer hearts on 25 January 2019. Interestingly, standing tall to compete with this historical project is Hrithik Roshan starrer film Super 30. However, both the films are from two entirely different genres.
