Tree Fu Tom Continues to Spread Magic Overseas

FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment Appoints Three New Licensing Agents in Key Territories – CIS, Benelux and Israel

FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment announced today it has increased the international consumer products reach for its hit, pre-school, action adventure series Tree Fu Tom with the appointment of three new licensing agents covering Russia and the CIS, Benelux and Israel. The new agents will actively seek best-in-class partners and devise specific consumer product roll out strategies for their regions.

Appointed to represent Tree Fu Tom in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is Russian-based licensing agent Mega-license International. In addition to managing the licensing rights for the series Megalicense International will be launching a Tree Fu Tom You Tube channel in the territory.  Meanwhile, in Benelux, FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment has entered into a licensing agreement for Tree Fu Tom with J&M Brands. And, in Israel, where a range of Tree Fu Tom toys was launched at the end of last year through toy distributor Little Prince, local licensing agent Brand is Real will represent the burgeoning brand.

Rick Glankler, EVP/General Manager FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment   said: “Tree Fu Tom continues to generate strong ratings internationally and with the property now screening in over 80 territories the show has connected with children around the world.   With a number of high class licensing agents and toy distributors now on board, Tree Fu Tom is in a great place to become a truly successful global franchise.”

Tree Fu Tom is a co-production between FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment and the BBC for CBeebies, with animation by Blue Zoo Animation. The BAFTA-nominated CG series combines innovative elements of heroic action, fantasy and magic, coupled with unique interactive physical activity.
