Turner happy with brisk sales of important shows


People at Turner International are overjoyed with the brisk sales of its important shows from its portfolio that includes animated series aimed at both kids and adults. These  are among the slate of new and coming  back series the company is shopping at the MIPTV market.

From its kids’ brand Cartoon Network, two 2016 revival series are generating quite a lot of interest from international buyers.

They are The Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10. Both the shows have so far been sold to Citv (UK), Gulli (France) and Stan (Australia).

Besides, Powerpuff Girls has been acquired by c for Germany, Switerzland and Austria and TV 5 for the Philippines, while Ben 10 will air in the Philippines via GMA.

Observed Humphrey Black, VP of Media Distribution for Turner EMEA, “We’re thrilled to be sharing the early sales success for some of our key kids and entertainment series, as well as the extensive and highly appealing slate of programming we’ll be showcasing at MIPTV this week.”

Also on Turner’s MIP ticket are Adult Swim series Rick & Morty, Robot Chicken and Samurai Jack; Cartoon Network’s Mighty Magiswords, The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time and We Bare Bears and the first Boomerang original series The Happos Family.

 Live-action programs being featured by Turner at MIPTV market includes TNT’s Good Behavior and TBS’ Search Party, both recently renewed for second seasons along with 4 Blocks (TNT Serie, Germany), Will (TNT), I’m Sorry and Those Who Can’t (truTV).
