TV PinGuim, Latin America’s leading animation company has announced further sales of the second season of its science smash hit Earth to Luna!.
The pre-school show has been sold to PTS in Taiwan, Discovery Family in the US, RTP in Portugal, VOD service iQiyi in China and Discovery MENA further extending the global reach of this fun.
Based on the adventures of six-year-old Luna, who is completely, undeniably and passionately in love with science and her little brother Jupiter and pet ferret Clyde, the show sparks children’s curiosity about science and encourages them to wonder and investigate how the world works.
Luna’s insatiable desire to know “What’s happening here?” has found even more things to discover on grandma and grandpa’s Plum Creek Ranch in season 2.
In addition, TV PinGuim will be heading to MIP with a new slate including Season 3 of Earth to Luna! In this new season, Luna takes to the road and travels around the world with her family.
Each country provides Luna with a wealth of opportunity to make new friends, see new places and experience cultural diversity while making all new scientific discoveries.
What are igloos? Why are flamingos pink? What is the Aurora Borealis? Luna’s just got to know!
And new preschool series The Charlie Show currently in development, introduces funny, chatty talk-show host Charlie the sheep.
On his all new show, Charlie gets to the bottom of it all. Interviewing Things and giving his viewers the chance to know more about them, he finds out what’s behind all the glitz and glamour of Disco Ball? and How does Snowman spend his summer?
Funny and informative each show is themed around one subject, like Breakfast, Sports, Holidays and Toys and features heated debates around the topic, as well as a star performance by one of Charlie’s guests.
TV PinGuim will be bringing both shows to MIPJr and MIPCOM. Their Creative Director, Celia Catunda said: “We’re thrilled to have two such captivating shows at this year’s MIPCOM.Earth to Luna! has already proved to be a huge success and we are really excited about the third series that takes Luna around the world and we have high hopes for our new pre-school comedy The Charlie Show.”
