The show, which won a pair of Canadian Screen Awards last year for Best Children’s or Youth Non-Fiction Series and Best Cross-Platform Project – Children’s and Youth will return to TVO this fall.

The order follows the news that the show is up for a 2018 CSA award in the Best Children’s or Youth Non-Fiction Series category.

Produced and distributed by Toronto’s Breakthrough Entertainment, the show sees host Phil McCordic demonstrate how children can do science experiments at home.

TVO initially commissioned the tween-skewing series in April 2015. Breakthrough also produced an interactive companion piece to the series Science Max Interactive in which viewers of the show can learn about the show’s experiments through online games, trivia and downloadable content.
