First Ibero-American Animation Quirino Awards from April 6 to 8 next year

The first edition of the Ibero-American Animation Quirino Awards will be held from April 6 to 8, next year. The said awards would be held at Spanish Canary island of Tenerife which is itself a bustling spot of animation growth.

As is known, the Quirinos are the first initiative to recognize the talent across the entire Ibero-American animation industry. (Ibero-America is the geographic description of Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries in Central and South America, as well as the countries of Spain, Portugal, and Andorra.)

The goals of the event are multifold, but one of its key aims is to develop stronger ties between the Ibero-American animation industries on both sides of the Atlantic.

To that end, the Quirinos will comprise of both an awards ceremony (taking place on April 7) as well as a professional multi-day forum starting on April 6 that will bring together artists and producers from all of the participating nations.
