France’s movie label TF1 Studio has picked up three upcoming animated feature titles from Studio 100 Films. They are Maya the Bee – The Honey Games, Maya the Bee 3 (working title) and Princess Emmy.
Studio 100 will be presenting these titles at the American Film Market this week and will also present a screening of The Honey Games on November 2 at 9:30 a.m. at Broadway Cineplex 4. The latest Maya movie has been sold to 127 countries so far.
Produced by Studio 100 Media in co-production with Studio B Animation (Australia) and in association with Flying Bark Productions, Maya the Bee – The Honey Games is another heartwarming bug-sized adventure.
When an over enthusiastic Maya accidentally embarrasses the Empress of Buzztropolis, she is forced to unite with a team of misfit bugs and compete in the Honey Games for a chance to save her hive.
She will venture beyond the hive and meet new friends and opponents who will offer a great challenge for Maya. Fortunately, her best friend Willy, the loveable but clumsy ants Arnie and Barney and her trustworthy advisor, Flip the grasshopper, will be by her side.
Maya’s curiosity and charisma will engage and delight audiences as she has done so for many years.
The first Maya the Bee movie hit theaters in 2014 and continues to win over audiences worldwide, bringing the popular children’s book character to new life a century after her on-page debut.
The 2D-animated Princess Emmy centers on a young girl of royal birth who inherits a magical ability to talk to horses from her courageous great-great-great grandmother and sets out to prove herself deserving of this marvelous gift.
