MEAI and ESC will host a major B2B event for the M&E industry bringing International buyers in Jan 2018

Media and Entertainment Association of India (MEAI), in association with ESC (Electronics & Computer Software Export Promotion Council), has announced a brand new focused and closed door B2B event for the media & entertainment industry.

Branded as IMEC (Indian Media & Entertainment Conclave), the event will have  20+ international buyers at its venue, silicon city Bangalore on 24 and 25 January 2018. The event will be co-located with Indiasoft 2018 for the first time ever at Palace Grounds, Bangalore.

Including AVGC, live action, TV series, movies and more, IMEC indeed will be a big boost for India’s media and entertainment industry. SMEs especially will benefit by having a chance to pitch and sell their content here in India without having to spend money to go abroad.

Indiasoft is an international B2B networking event organized every year by ESC India to bring global buyers and Indian IT companies under one platform.

Animation Digital Digest spoke to MEAI secretary Ankur Bhasin, who having been a part of ESC and MEAI both, has been able to bring both the associations to work together for co-locating a media and entertainment event. According to him, IMEC 2018 will run parallel to Indiasoft but will have a different format than the exhibition format of Indiasoft. The focus at “Indian Media and Entertainment Conclave 2018” this time will be on CIS and ASEAN countries who have showed keen interest in procuring Indian content.
