What do you think – how big are Godzilla: King of the Monsters creatures — Rodan, Mothra, and Ghidorah? Well! it is huge and enormous.
New character posters for the creatures Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah have been released for the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
Each poster also boasted a biblical quote from revelations specific to the featured titan by Director Michael Dougherty.
For Ghidorah, Dougherty tweeted: “They have as king over them, the angel of the Abyss. A star fallen from heaven to earth, he opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like that of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened…”
For Mothra: “Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions over the earth. They were told not to harm the grass or any green growth or any tree, but only those of mankind.”
For Rodan: “For the Beast that comes up out of the Abyss will make war with them, and overcome them… and kill them.”
A sequel to Gareth Edwards’ 2014 film Godzilla as well as the third film in Warner Bros. and Legendary Studios’ connected Monster Verse – Godzilla: King of the Monsters will feature more familiar creatures, following the first film’s introduction of a brand-new creature called M.U.T.O.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters stars Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air, The Conjuring films), and Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai) and Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine), both reprising their Godzilla roles.
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah.
The sequel is set to stomp into theatres on May 31, 2019.
