Two weeks since its completion, Coco set to collect its first award

It’s not even two weeks since the completion of Coco and lo! it has just won its first award.

The Hollywood Film Awards (HFA) has announced that the Lee Unkrich-directed film which has its world premieres next week at the Morelia Fest in Mexico will receive its Hollywood Animation Award.

Though the HFA is 21 years old, it is not understandable as to how its winners are selected.

Said Dick Clark Productions that makes the award in a statement, “The recipients of the awards are selected by an Advisory Team for their body of work and/or a film(s) that is to be released during the calendar year.”
