Warner Bros. Consumer Products launches Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc. Theater for Amazon’s Alexa-enabled devices


Mixing immersive storytelling and voice technology, Warner Bros. Consumer Products has launched Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc. Theater, a free interactive mystery/adventure kids skill for Amazon’s Alexa-enabled devices.


After prompting the skill by saying, “Alexa, open Scooby-Doo,” kids and families can follow and team up with the titular canine Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma to solve a new caper set at Mayhew Mansion.

To help crack the case, a narrator (voiced by Animaniacs‘ Maurice LaMarche) guides users across multiple storylines with commands like, “Go down the hallway to the left” or “Stay outside.”

The skill also features an all-star voice cast from Warner Bros. Animation’s current Scooby-Doo series Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc. Theater releases in theatres following the August launch of Amazon’s first Alexa skills designed specifically for kids, with partners including Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop.

Google Home, for its part, also recently added more than 50 new kid-friendly games, activities and stories to its own line of smart speakers that include offerings from Disney and Sports Illustrated.
